I am profoundly delighted to welcome you to our 28th School day celebrations. Thank you for choosing St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde. As we gather to celebrate our 28th years of dedicated service, I convey our inflexible gratitude to the Ordinary of Lugazi Diocese, the Vicar general- our main celebrant, the Education secretary, Ministry of Education and Sports, the Foundation body, Board of Governors, P.T.A, the Class Executive Committees, the Staff, Parents, the entire community without forgetting my dear students. Thank you very much for according us a conducive environment that has enabled us to serve.

We bless the Lord for the gift of our founder His Grace Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga (RIP) plus all members of this family who have had a stake in the steady growth of our school that the Lord called back to himself. May their souls rest in eternal peace.

Treading in line with the theme of the year, “Soaring to Greater Heights with Zeal” we pride in the Grace of God who has enabled us to soar.  We are greatly indebted to the Pioneer PTA executive committee that sold the idea of strengthening school security and boost the supply of fresh water in the school. The financial contribution of 50,000/= per term has enabled us to construct a perimeter wall nearing completion. We were also able to procure a 100,000 litre metallic water tank plus ten other plastic water tanks. Your commitment will forever be cherished.

Among the other achievements registered in the past year, the following are eminent;

  • Installed 127 CCTV cameras.
  • Procured Jazz band instruments.
  • Brass band to promote performing arts.
  • Furnished our computer laboratory with 109 computers.
  • Drilled a new bore hall.
  • Lifted the Greater Mukono Regional Boys’ Basketball trophy and later represented the country in the East African games (FEASSA) at Kakamega- Kenya where we emerged 4th best overall boys’ Basketball team.
  • Constructed a state of the art all weather Basketball court.
  • Constructed the boys’ dormitory up to the second floor.
  • We have continued to promote science and innovation. This year, our learners in the same club have crafted their first St Cyprian made electric vehicle.
  • A modern visitors’ refreshment point, among other achievements.
  • Furnished the students’ dining hall to promote etiquette.

Future prospects.

Having achieved this, we are now looking forward to putting in place the following in our five year development plan.

  • Constructing a modern students’ bridge (flyover) to ensure safety of the boys crossing the road.
  • Completing the three storeyed boys’ dormitory.
  • Construction of a modern football pitch.
  • Construction of a modern storeyed girls’ dormitory.
  • A modern swimming pool to have a diversity of sporting activities.
