St. Cyprian High School Kyabakade celebrated talent, culture and creativity through an exciting MDD event featuring music, traditional and contemporary dance, cultural heritage and student innovation. and creativity.
St. Cyprian High School Kyabakade recently celebrated the creativity and exceptional talent of its students during a colourful Music, Dance and Drama (MDD) event.
The event provided a platform for students to showcase their abilities while promoting important values such as discipline, teamwork, confidence and cultural appreciation. It also reflected the school's commitment to developing learners beyond the classroom.
The MDD programme featured four major presentations: pop star, cultural dress and heritage, contemporary dance and traditional dance. Each presentation demonstrated the students' creativity, confidence and ability to communicate meaningful messages through performance.
The cultural presentations gave students an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate Uganda's rich cultural heritage, while the contemporary and traditional dances showcased the diversity of talent within the school.
The event also highlighted the role of technology and innovation in modern education, in line with the competencies promoted by the new curriculum. Students were encouraged to use their creativity and talents as important tools for personal development and problem solving.
St. Cyprian High School continues to provide opportunities for learners to discover and develop their talents alongside academic excellence. Through activities such as MDD, students gain confidence, teamwork skills and a deeper appreciation of their culture.
