UNEB releases 2025 national examinations timetables and St. Cyprian candidates are ready for the challenge
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the timetables for the 2025 national examinations. The examinations, which include PLE, UCE, and UACE and are scheduled to run from October to mid-November 2025.
This year sees a 7.5% increase in registered candidates across the three levels compared to the previous year, highlighting the growing number of students participating in national assessments.
The examination period begins with the UCE exams. Candidates will have a briefing on October 10 before starting their papers on October 13 2025. UCE exams will conclude on November 7 2025.
UACE candidates will have their briefing on November 7 2025, with exams starting on November 10 and continuing through November.
The 2025 UCE exams will be the second assessment under the new Competency-Based Curriculum, which focuses on skills and competencies, including integrated projects.UNEB has also issued strict guidelines to prevent examination malpractice, including rules against writing answers in pencil and leaving the exam room without permission. The board also warned against falsely registering normal students as having special needs.
Based on St. Cyprian High School Kyabakadde’s recent performance and preparation strategies, candidates are ready for the UNEB exams due to a strong track record of success, comprehensive academic and revision programs, and a focus on both academic and character development.
In the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams, all 201 candidates at St Cyprian high school achieved first-grade passes, demonstrating the school’s ability to prepare students for outstanding results across the entire student body.

Candidates undergo rigorous, term-long revision exercises, including resourceful mock exams. This builds their readiness by simulating actual UNEB conditions and identifying areas needing further attention.
