St. Cyprian holds prefects’ swearing in and inauguration ceremony.
St. Cyprian Kyabakade senior secondary school held the Swearing-In Ceremony and inauguration of the New Prefects body on 29/6/2025.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new prefects was preceded by a sacred and uplifting mass led by Reverend Father Joseph Munyangameza. The Alumni Choir, skillfully directed by Brenda Nabiteeko and Winnie Namutebi and other members of the alumni, added a touching spiritual dimension to the event with their melodious hymns and songs.
The mass provided a moment for reflection, prayer, and seeking divine guidance for the incoming leadership. The presence of Reverend Father Munyangameza and the Alumni Choir’s soulful performance created a reverent atmosphere, setting the tone for a meaningful and memorable ceremony.
The ceremony was made more special by the outgoing top leadership, particularly Ssenyondo Peter Andrew, the outgoing Head Prefect. Under his leadership, the school made significant strides in various areas, and his dedication to the student body will be greatly missed. His exemplary leadership set a high standard for the incoming prefects.
The new leadership team is comprised of talented and committed students who are ready to take on the challenges of leading their peers. Nabunjo Petronilla Rosemary was sworn in as the new Head Prefect, and she is expected to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the role.
In the judicial arm, Kukiriza Gloria was sworn in as the new Chief Justice, assisted by Pelame Joseph. Their roles will be crucial in ensuring that justice is served and that the rights of all students are protected.
Kyeyune Mark took up the position of Speaker, and he will be responsible for facilitating communication between the student leadership and the student body.
The new Head Boy, Benjamin Lubega, and Head Girl, Margret Nanyonjo, will work together to promote unity and discipline among students. They will be supported by their teams in ensuring that the school’s goals and objectives are met.
In a special bid , Bakanasa Flavia was sworn in as the new Liturgy Minister. Her role will be vital in promoting the spiritual growth and development of the students
