History-making St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde envisage a successful national basketball championship

Although Ssaku’s duo of Austine Okolong and Emmanuel Mwesigye each had a game high 16 points with Karthum Ssozi contributing the others, St Cyrpian High School, Kyabakadde exhibited typical team work atoms.
Dienzela Ngaboyeka had a team high 14 points, Martin Saasira returned 10, Denis Chikuru Balolebwam contributed 12 points with the towering South Sudanese Emma Mayomu posting the remaining five points.
Joseph Kamya, the head teacher at St Cyprian High School School, Kyabakadde asserts that besides teamwork, the discipline from his team on and off the field of play was another push factor for his history making school.
At St Cyprian High School, Kyabakadde were call for 100 percent discipline in class and outside class. Our school in boys’ basketball is a true manifestation of ultimate discipline and teamwork. We shall remain calm and focused as the nationals come knocking next month.

With the victory in the bag over rivals Ssaku S.S, the celebrations started right at Seeta High Green Campus basketball courts, with assurance they had secured a slot for the nationals.
St Cyprian High School, Kyabakadde had failed the earlier grade where Seeta High School, Green Campus and Cranes High had secured the direct slots.
The trio (Seeta High Green Campus, Crane High and St Cyprian Kyabakadde) were joined by Nyamilyango College and Ssaku S.S.
Business came to a standstill at the school when the team triumphantly and majestically make a hero’s welcome from the qualifiers.
The students and teachers shouted on top of their voices, singing and clapping as they welcomed the players.
Hamid Kasozi, head of technical at St Cyprian High School, Kyabakadde predicts a great championship in Mbale.
We worked as a team to qualify. There was dedication from the players and the support from the technical team as well as the blessing of the school management. We shall use this remaining time to prepare for the nationals in Mbale. Between now and the games, we shall conduct intensive training and engage in friendly games.
Meanwhile, the successful teams in the girls catergory that will play at the nationals include Seeta High School – Green Campus, Cranes High, Naalya S.S – Lugazi.
